SO I LOVE TO BLAST OUT PEOPLE IN GENERAL. ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE LIVING OUT THEIR PURPOSE AND CHASING THEIR DREAMS IN LIFE. FOR MY FIRST COME UP BLAST I WANT TO SHINE LIGHT ON A BEAUTIFUL FRIEND OF MINE, CHARRITA RAINEY. SHE IS A POWER HOUSE & I MEAN A POWER HOUSE PHOTOGRAPHER!!!!!! I WAS AT A STUDIO IN HOLLYWOOD AND RAN INTO HER, WHICH WAS SUCH A LOVELY SURPRISE TREAT. WE TALKED AND I GOT HER TO SHARE WITH ME SOME INFORMATION ABOUT HERSELF FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE BLOG.
(LA) “WHEN DID YOU TAKE NOTICE OF PHOTOGRAPHY. WHAT WAS YOUR DRIVE IN PURSUING THIS ART”? (CR) “I believe I was 23 years old when I found photography. I had to take either a photography class or an art class and I figured photography would be the easier way out since I wasn’t an artist at all! In my eyes anyone could take pictures, this will be an easy A! So I purchased my little digital camera but I wanted MORE. Most of my classmates had the nice DSLR’s and all I knew was I wanted a camera like them. I was convinced that if I had a camera like them, my images would look like theirs. In my mind, I knew my pictures would come out better regardless of what the instructor said lol. He would say “It doesn’t matter what you shoot with, it’s HOW YOU SHOOT.” So midterms came and instead of shooting landscape, objects, or city buildings, I decided to photograph people. I shot my niece and nephew and I had a blast! It was something new that I had never done and to me I was more than I had expected to be. In my teens, I always enjoyed buying my little Ralphs or CVS disposable cameras, that was a little hidden passion of mine. I enjoyed keeping the memories, but never knew it would grow into something like this.”
(LA) “WHAT IS YOUR GOAL FOR YOUR CRAFT”? (CR) “My goal for my craft is to be an all around photographer. I want to be known as the photographer who is amazing with all types of photography not just one specific type…..as long as I can shoot it of course.”
(LA) “IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE A TYPE OF PHOTOGRAPHY WHAT TYPE WOULD THAT BE”? (CR) If I had to choose one type of photography to shoot I would say High Fashion. It’s something about the feeling I get when I shoot fashion shoots. I feel that my energy bounces off of their energy. It’s powerful and the ending results are ALWAYS amazing to me. It excites me! lol. In college and the starting of my career I always said thatI would be the one to shoot and edit the spread for major high fashion magazines. That’s STILL one of my goals.”
(LA) “IN TWO YEARS WHERE ARE YOU”? (CR) “Although I’ve never been able to answer any questions like this, I’ll take a stab at it. Two years from now I see me traveling all over, shooting everything that I love to shoot. Making connections with the most amazing people and helping others through what it is that I love to do. Bringing a smile to my clients faces, and making more powerful connections through that”.
(LA) “WHAT DO YOU WANT THE PEOPLE TO KNOW”? (CR) “The thing that I would love for people to know when it comes to me shooting them is they will be transformed. My slogan for my company is “LET ME TRANSFORM YOU.” Transforming people into someone they never thought they could ever be is very important to me. I want to people to see the beauty within them as well as much as they see themselves on the outside. When I shoot, it’s their time to look beyond the person they see themselves as in the mirror everyday. If they are shy and know deep down inside they’re more than that, it’s the time to bring it out when I turn on my camera. It’s the time to have fun and play around with that little person in their heads that keeps telling them to COME OUT, BE BOLD, BE BRAVE! It gives them confidence whether they are little children or an adult. Photography is beauty”.
